Default Weird noise from engine bay, keeps draining battery

My roommates informed me that my car was making weird noises. Hours after I had driven the car it sounded like something was running and it was coming from more of the front of the car. My first guess was the water pump that comes with the Vortech SC. Has this happened to anyone before? My battery died 2 days ago and now I know why. For last night, I decided to disconnect the battery to save it and the noise stopped. Anyone have any ideas or similar experiences?

Thanks

Anthony

Has this been doing it since the install or just lately? Your water pump relay may be stuck with the main circuit ON. Double check the wiring routing to and from the relay. You might need a new relay.

I'm guessing it's your Vortech water pump. You can easily tell by sticking your ear close to the front grille. Check the relay like x said.

Just disconnect the Vortech water pump and see if the noise stops.

I'd also check to be sure you didn't wire anything to the always on cavity in the underdash fuse box. I killed a battery wiring a wideband 02 gauge, by mixing up the cavity's in the fuse box.

It only happened this once and I've had the kit for months. Yeah, I disconnected the battery to save it from dying again and weird enough, the noise has not come back. I think it was definately my water pump and if the problem comes back I'll do what you siad xviper.

thank you
