Just out of nowhere I have a weird smell coming from the vehicle. Brought it to Honda, they did the $300 service because they said my valve cover gasket was leaking and that was what they thought was causing the smell. To me it smells like its coming from underneath the vehicle and it smells like plastic is burning. I have a T1R exhaust w/test pipe and the ztec single exhaust cap, but after checking the cap nothing has melted or burned. Does anyone know what else that smell could be coming from? I know its a long shot being that you would have to actually smell what is coming out, but its definitely noticable. Car drives fine, and i've had the exhaust on their for sometime now.

I had the same problem with one of my old civics while driving.

I believe I ran over something that got hung up around the bottom of my exhaust and was there burning away, I believe it was a plastic grocery bag.

It wrrapped around and on top of exhaust pretty well and was hidden.

I removed what was left and the rest just burnt away and the smell disappeared.
