Please tell me that a ballast isn't the metal box under the headlights...I apparently need a new ballast...and so I bought headlight off of ebay....the guy said a ballast came along with it..yet I'm confused because if the metal box is the ballast I Have no ballast...

apparently the braker is shot on my ballast as when the temperature hits a certain degree my pass side headlight (HID) shuts off..anyways I think I'm totally screwed hear and just wasted a lot of money

It is the silver metal box under the light secured by 4 bolts

It's a S2000 specific part.....I'll bet someone here has one, I'd post in the WTB forum for one.

I remember asking this guy he said he had one for s2k for $100...pretty cheap if you ask me...........

 

Not to be mean but but going "pretty cheap" and buying off of ebay is what got you into this mess in the first place. Buy the correct Honda part from Hardtopguy or a dealer and in the end you will save money.

 

Getting me into this mess was my own stupidity and lack of knowledge on the correct part I needed, it had nothing to do with ebay

Honda wants $500 for a ballast, I'd rather have sex with a gorilla then give honda $500 For a metal box.
