Default What do I need to do a AP2 tranny swap?

Is it just as easy as getting an ap2 tranny and swapping it over?

Do I need any other parts?

The rear flange off your AP1 trans. That's it.

What is the difference in the flange? Possibly the bolt diameter?

Carbon synchros and revised ratios work well with the redline of the AP1

If yo ustill have your ap1 trans just take the flange off the back. I am guessing you don't know what billman was talking about though. I believe there are 8 bolts in the ap2 flange vs. the 6 on the ap1 I could be wrong but again someone will chime in.
The flange we are referring to is what holds the driveshaft in place that connects the trans to the diff.

Each flange is 6 bolts.

The AP2 uses bigger bolts. So you will need the AP1 flange off you old trans so it will accept your current smaller driveshaft bolts.
