Default What exactly will the comptech reinforced diff housing do for me?

Is this enough to protect the diff on my supercharged, 4.57 geared s2k if it sees the drag strip occasionally? From what I understand, it wont let the diff tear itself out of the car, but can the diff fail in any other way?

THanks. Oz

The comptech diff will help your rear end but the 4.57 will require you another extra shift ie you will be in 5th gear. It may not benefit your drag time.

I trapped 107mph at the last drag. With the 4.44 I will be at the end of the 4th gear. I think with 4.57 you will need an extra shift.

I think it's just to save all the pieces so you don't have to walk behind the car picking them up on your way out the gate...
