What happened to post?
What happened to the question posted yesterday about a rev-limiter product? He wanted to know what the device was and what it did and then went on to say he wanted one. My response was to ask why someone would want to install a device on his car without knowing what it was or what it did. What happened to that post?
I checked all your post history (you can do this too by clicking on your username) and I see that your last post before today was Jan. 17:

If it was about product information, it would be in S2000 Talk, but like I said, you don't have any posts for yesterday in your history, so I not sure what happened.

The thread was probably deleted because of the porno spam that showed up the last couple of days. I think the mods are just killing the threads instead of just deleting the posts.
)ol' dood, do you remember any other details about that thread? Who started it and the title? I can't understand why if you posted yesterday that it wouldn't show up in your post history.
I've done several "searches" trying to locate the original post. No go. I DO remember one of the responses questioning the adaptation of this modification and what would be gained. Specifically, the responder pointed out that changing the RPM redline cut-off point would possibly entail over-riding the ECU setpoint. It was an interesting technological proposition. I'd like to know the end result possibilities. (Piggyback....or...PlugNPlay replacement. Personally, I think this is an example of chasing the rainbow. There might be a miniscule gain to be had, but at what financial expense? To spend $3,000 and up just to gain 2 or 3 HP at a very small RPM window is just not even close to being worth it to me. I'm not one to sing the praises of Honda, but they seemed to have nailed it with the F20C engine. Can you increase the outut of the F20C? Sure. How much of an increase can you make reliably without going forced induction? About 18-22 HP. Now, how much are you willing to spend to achieve said results?
Looks like that thread is still there in S2000 Talk and it looks like "Boit" asked that question:
