Does anyone know the part number or if it can be removed? I'd like to repaint mine at the same time I paint a bumper.

under interior/bumper in mouldings and protectors
part 9 & 10

replace # with color designation letter
74307-S2A-003Z#

lift the trunk, unscrew the screw, and pull directly rearwards, NOT UP

Could this part lead to water leaks in the trunk? My leak seems to be coming from directly above this thing on both sides

Rarely, like in my case, you can pop that off, and silicone/RTV the body seams *below* that part. And pop/screw the part back on.

But most people have other sources of trunk leaks.

Please perform due diligence -- top up, flashlight, garden hose or water pot -- and slowly pour some water. Follow the water to the high point, find the source of the drip. Find out exactly where it's coming from. If you're sure it's under this part, try my silicone advice.
