It's not "well" under. It's better than any other Honda AFAIK at 1.821. For reference:
B16A: 1.740
B18C: 1.581
H22A: 1.577
F20C: 1.821
1.7x is generally considered "ideal" (unless you are Smokey Yunick, then nothing under 2.00 is acceptable).
