Default At what RPM does the limiter cut the fun ?

Dumb question I know from a S2K owner, but I've just driven mine for 2days, now it's in winter storage here in Sweden

The redline begins at 9000rpm, but where does the limiter step in ?

It's tough to say since the bar doesn't extend past 9k but I'd say 9200-9300, which is in line with most of Honda's rev limiters (a few cut power RIGHT NOW). It's useful to edge out the guy who thinks 9k is an absolute...

My understanding is the redline is 8900RPM and the fuel cutoff is 9200RPM.

The stock tachometer reads more than 100 rpm high so consider that. On a different tach, mine limits below 9000 for sure, somewhere between 8900 and 9000 but it's digital and the last two digits are going ape sh!t so I don't know the exact # (89xx).

All I know is when you hit the 9000, it stops dead! Whether that is 9000 or 9100 or 9200, no idea.

When it's cold the fuel cut-off occurs at 6,200 RPM....most here say cold is "three bars" on the temp gage. It's actually 158 degrees F for the ECU to know it's warmed up. Above 158 degrees hard fuel cut-off is at 9,200 RPM. At 8,900 RPM your last bars on the digital tach will begin to flash. Most people here aren't dumb enough to hold it there but if you watch close running through the gears you can catch the flashing....

You have to live in Utah to see that in 6th gear.
