I found the same pump at several parts stores, but I can't find a bottle that fits the pump.

I have used a setup that my friend has that is just a simple pump that goes into a bottle. The bottle actually came WITH diff fluid originally, but I cannot find it for sale anywhere now, and I don't want to keep borrowing my friend's pump.

I have been to the Napa, Murrey's, Pep Boy's and Autozones in my area and cannot find anything I can use to make changing diff or transmission fluids "easy."

Does anyone have any other suggestions, or perhaps links to where one might buy something online?

Here's an idea I got from RT. Works great if you have an air compressor.

1) buy some clear tubing
2) take an old oil bottle
3) make a hole in the lid and push some tubing through it (tight seal) such that the end is close to the bottom of the bottle
4) take a short piece of tubing and put it through another hole near the top of the bottle

Now you fill the bottle with your lube oil and put the tubed lid on.

Take your air nozzle (at low pressure!) and fit it into the short tubing at the top. Take the end of the long tubing in the lid and put it in the diff or tranny.

Squeeze the trigger of the air nozzle and watch the fluid shoot up into the diff. No mess, no fuss, no pumping.

I use that pump made by valvoline from Kragens..It works well enough and it's $5 so if I need a replacement it's cheap. I have one for the tranny and one for the diff...dunno if you can mix fluids ( even if it only in the tube ) so I don't. I works best if you got a freind helping you pump.

Works really well. Hasn't failed or gotten stuck on me yet.

I'm not sure why no one else uses this, but at the local auto parts places (e.g. Shucks), they have screw-on pump caps with tubing attached and a stem into the bottle. Think of a soap dispenser with a tube on the end; it costs $4, screws onto the Mobil 1 bottle, and you're done in 2 minutes without spilling a drop. If someone wants a picture, let me know.

I picked up something like XViper suggested way back when this thread was started (and whats in his walkthroughs on changing diff and trans fluids). It screwed on to both the Mobil 1 75w90 bottle and the Honda MTF bottles. It was about $4 at Advance Auto and was in the same area as the fluid pumps were.

Scroll down to the Valvoline pump:

I've been using the Sta-Lube version of this for a while and it works fine. No spillage in my garage.
