Default Whats leaking?

Ok so I opened my hood and saw this crap. I am not sure if it is something I ran over and it splashed up and then dripped down or what. I am going to clean it all up and see if it comes back. Until then, you guys have any clue?

THANKS

not coolant...did the old school taste test...its strange. I thought it was coolant at first, also. I cleaned it up and after driving my 20 miles home from school nothing has appeared. I will give it another few days and check it again.

Sometimes when copper corrodes, it gives off this greenish copper oxide stuff. You know, like when iron corrodes, it's reddish-brown, but for copper it's greenish. Alternator has copper wires in it, got any water in it lately? Rain in there? Engine wash maybe?

looks awkward. but seems like you got the process down already on trying to figure out what it is.

from the looks of the last picture, the coolant line below the throttle body linkage is the cause.it looks as though its leaking down on the alternater and blowing back. check for small cuts or loose clamps.

That's a coolant leak....

Probably from the hose directly above the alternator in your pic.
