Default Whats this sound ?

Lately noticed this sound coming from where the head unit is. I dont know if its the head unit since it just a media player without any moving parts. It goes away pretty quickly in maybe 1 minute or so.

Is it coming from the head unit or your speakers?

Do you have the stock radio? If you do, try replacing it and see if that fixes it. If it does call your head unit manufacturers about it and see if they offer any sort of warranty.

Its aftermarket Sony media player, no tape, no cd, no moving parts, and it seems to work perfectly fine too.

How long ago was the HU install? I would pull the HU out and recheck the wires. Might be interference.

Installed HU long time ago. Noise started to appear like a month ago. Noticed that its mostly or only comes on in the morning and only lasts about 1 min.

Maybe its cold temperature related.....gonna troubleshot this a bit more, its a pain when its 20F outside

The unit may be fan cooled by a tiny brushless fan. If so, it could be going bad or full of dust.
