please do not do that, 16 year old drifter boy does that to their 240, because they don't know any better.

you don't have to replace the bearing if it's low mile and clean but if your has some miles on it, change it out while you there. it's similar to the waterpump when you doing the Timing belt, the labor overweight their part cost that it's almost seem reasonable to do so.

last thing you want is to have to go thru the labor again because you skipped out on the cheap bearing.

you can also kill one by whacking it like a wild man.

Replace the wheel bearing if you split it when pressing out the hub. Otherwise, you will have to do the whole dance again a few thousand miles down the road. Been there, done that, won't do it again.

I just bought a used knukle from a low milage car in the junk yard. It was less than paying someone else to do it (plus bearing cost) if you don't have your own press.
