wheel studs
If I recall correctly, the stock studs are 36mm. If your going to try to replace the studs, do it right and use a press to dissasemble. Save the hammer for working on a Chevy. Having replaced the studs myself using a press, I can't imagine trying it with a hammer, no matter how large it might be.

You don't need a press, really, if the bearing is good, there's no point of doing it.
Has anyone taken the wheel hub off the car, is this difficult? I have to replace two studs and want to do it right. The car only has 6k miles on it so I am not sure about a bearing replacement.
Once the hub is off the car you have to seperate the two to get to the back of the stud insertion point how is this accomplished?

You will need to seperate the hub from the suspension. You need a joint seperator and then you will need to have the hub pressed out of the knuckle, The bearing "should" be replaced as it was pressesd off. A broken stud will cost you several hundred $ buy the time it is said and done. and Yes ARP studs 100-7710@ 42mm long will work fine.
