No problem, just order when you're ready. If 20 or more days have passed since we messaged, just re-inquire to check stock

Order it just before pulling the car from storage. The change takes 10 minutes with a 10mm wrench, paper towel, Allen wrench, and needle nose pliers. I did it in my "office" (vs "play") clothes. Slippery coming out, don't drop it!

If you don't have 90 degree needle nose pliers, just take the air box out. I tried getting around that when I put mine in, and then wished I would have just pulled it out to start because it takes 2 minutes.

Taking off the airbox lid will give you that extra room. No need to rip out the whole airbox.

I thought I remember trying that and it didn't help me, it was awhile ago now though so I don't know. Either way the whole air box removal is still a joke of a task to accomplish and it provides tons of room and a good view in to verify everything is good. No matter how you go about it the whole tct replacement is easier than an oil change.

Is this one of those rare times that I should replace something before the original goes bad?
I have 18K miles on my 02 and no signs of trouble with the TCT that I can perceive.

I installed the Billmax GenX TCT at ~40K miles as preventive maintenance. The OEM TCT eventually needs replacement and mileage varies greatly. Some fail earlier/later.

Am I correct that the TCT will start to get noisy and give some warning before it goes?
