You're completely wrong. The MTF has been reformulated for 2007, in fact this new MTF is the factory fill in all 2007 Honda/Acura cars that come with a manual transmission. Tell your buddy to read the service bulletin posted here.

Next time back up your information with facts instead of blindly relying on someone else's opinion just because they work at Honda. Plenty of car salesmen work at Honda too, does that make them all a reliable source of information?

just did the swap to the new MTF .. didnt notice much different.. its kinda better but was hoping it would be like day and night

might need some more time on it

havent compare the two oils but the oil that came out was a yellow very clean only 8k on it.. and the new fluid was a pinkish clear color not sure if it will change colors once it runs in the tranny and go to the yellow

Same here. Pretty much no difference for me between new and old MTF.

This is the first I've heard about the new fluid. What are the technical differences/specs? I just picked up some Castrol factory-fill for the Viper, but would be than happy to use something cheaper if it works comparatively well.
