white smoke means theres coolant leaking into the combustion chamber.
could be caused by bad head gasket or cracked block/head

Do you have a catalytic converter? Aftermarket exhaust of any kind?

I get some considerable white smoke on cool mornings, particularly if I run the car for a bit, then stop (or idle) then run again. Mine is from condensation building up in the pipe and then getting steamed out when the exhaust heats up.

You know wrong, then.

White smoke = water vapor (possibly coolant)
Blue smoke = oil
Black smoke = fuel
