Yes, it was on the same day, at Motorsport Dynamics in Sacramento. For the record, I also had on a 4IG intake, and Spugen duals. Those were on for the baseline.

I am reading that people are finding the straight pipe louder and meaner sounding. Does it in essence change the original sound of the exaust or just amplify it. I was going to buy a test pipe but instead got a local muffler shop to weld me a straight pipe for 35$ Canadian. Can't beat that. If it is obnoxiously loud then I will take it off. No big loss.

It is very loud. It does not change the pitch so to say, but it will scream much louder. I would seriously think in the high 120's decibles.

ok the argument is over....yesterday I had my car tunned with the cat in..I reached 201hp on the dyno. then we installed the test pipe, and without any additional tunning the car reached 207.8....an increase of 6.8hp for $100....the increase was pretty steady throughout the rpm range, with no loss of power down low.....i will post the dyno asap......

Cat= Bad Test Pipe= Good I am very pleased with the spoon n1 w/ test pipe. When I first installed the exhaust I left the cat. in place and drove it for a couple of hours and I could tell some gains but nothing drastic...better throttle response and noticable mid range gains. Later that night I put the test pipe on and honestly I think its like night and day. Top end was very noticeable and there was even better throttle response. I have seen gains from 4.6 at mid to 6.9 all through out the RPM range on a dyno. for the dyno plots.

Nice bump b/n 65-70 MPH. Curious why the x axis reads MPH and not RPM though.

he can set it for whatever parmeters you want....also keep in mind that my baseline dyno was 191hp on his dyno but 206 on stephans....so the gain is 15hp....he said that stephans dyno usually reads about 15hp higher than his....in turn if I dynoed at stephans again under ther same conditions i should pull over 220hp.....im very happy with the gains.....
