Hi,
Does anyone know if the Hood is adjustable. I have started to get a lot of wind noise from the roof, I noticed that if I put a little downwards pressure on the roof from the inside on the drivers side it dissapears.

The passenger side connector (if thats what it is called) has some resistance when putting the roof on but the drivers side goes on very easily, on the outside I can see a slightly bigger gap between the roof and the top pillar on the drivers side compared to the passenger side, its as if the passenger side really connects and pulls the roof in place but the drivers does not.

Has anyone experienced this or know how to remedy it ? could it be the connector point on the pillar being worn or is that normal ?

I have also noticed a few drips of water on the drivers side in heavy rain, probably connected.

Kye,

I had a similar problem it turned out to be a loose latch on the hood, tighten up those large philips screws holding the latch to the roof and your problem should be over.

I forgot to say it was the hard-top I had a problem with, but maybe it's a similar issue with the soft top. Also it kept comming loose so I had to "Loctite" in the end.

kstokell's right your latches will be loose or even stretched. Try tightening em yourself, if that doesn't work go to a dealer, if that doesn't work replacement may be in order.

Here's a cheap fix that I've read here if dealer makes you pay for new latches.

Use some aquarium airline tubing (about 1/2" long) to slip over the "finger" end of the latching mechanism. This extra thickness snugs up the top nicely. You will need to replace after a while, but its effective, quick and very inexpensive while you battle with Honda.

That's a good idea. I would have never thought of that.

I just replaced my strikers. They were only like $40 from hardtop guy and it only took like 20 mintues to change. All you need is a couple of screw drivers and the Helms manual. Most of the trim is just on by snaps.

Hello,

I have found that I have wind noise for a different reason and can't seem to figure out how to fix it permanently without welding equip. My latch is tightly fastened to the roof panel, however, the female portion on the windshield is loose, I lifted up the weather stripping and the dongle is attached by some sort of pins, rather than screws or something... the pins allow just enough upward motion of the female dongle to allow wind noise - so I stuck a nickel in between the dongle plate and the windshield frame - this has solved the problem - but I would like a more permanent solution.

Anybody have experiences with this type of problem before?

Thanks much
T
