Default Window line detached from window...

Last night I heard a loud snap when trying to put my window up with the top down. I checked the problem out today and the window line was pulled out of the bracket that held it in place. I tried to pull the window up from the bottom and it will not budge at all. Is there any advice on fixing this problem to avoid taking it to the dealer? It is impossible to attach it from where the window bracket is sitting as of now. I own a 2005.

You will need to replace your window regulator. The best thing you can do is to remove the window regulator from the door to see just how bad it is. When this happened to me, there was nothing I could have done that would have fixed the window regulator. It had to be replaced.

If you are interested, I have a spare set of these FS from an 03.

Its not the window regulator that is bad, the steel line that holsters the window up and down was pulled out of the window bracket. I really do not have a way to push the line back in.

The line is in the window regulator. It is one complete assembly. Most of the time a window stops going up is usually the regulator going bad. Either it is he cable or the pulleys

Yup, it's the window regulator. My drivers side window did that about 2 months ago. I was putting the window up and I heard a SNAP and the window just fell down. It was the regulator.

you need to pull apart the door skin, lift the window manually, remove a bunch of bolts, (disconnecting the window from the lifter assembly/line/motor. Most likely the line snapped on the motor - the thing comes in a set you need to order it all together. Its not super expensive and its nearly impossible to fix without doing this.
