Windshield wipers, int doesn't work

It hasnt rained for awhile and I went to use my wipers and the intermediate doesnt work. The low and high works fine. Has anyone ran into this problem? Any help would be appreciated thanks

Does it work every five seconds or so?

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I have only had to use my wipers twice in over 5 years, so I can't be of much help. Consider this a free bump.
