okay when i'm using the wind shield wiper on the first setting it makes a weird clicking sound. Everytime it starts up it clicks. It only comes from the left side wiper. Maybe this happens on every s2000, but if i have it on any other setting like the 2nd or the 3rd it doesn't make a sound at all. Just wanted to see if anyone else had this sound.

 

I think it's a relay clicking on. not to sure. maybe someone else can say. i've always wondered what it was too.

 

^^ Check the wiper arm bolts to make sure they are tight. Other than that the wiper relay is not made to make click sounds.

EDIT: FYI - I Have a '01 w/ 140K mi. Dont have this issue

 

haha seems like im not the only one with this problem. i'm not to worried i only drive it in the rain when i get random rain on a nice day.

yeah, mine does it also. sounds like a relay to me from under the dash.

 

I'm pretty sure AP1s do this and AP2s don't, something to do with the relay that was used. My 04 never made any noise but my AP1 has a very audible CLICK when using the slowest wiper setting.

 

My MY00 does this as well. Only on the low setting.
