Winter storage, where to put the jack stands?
Your owner's manual will tell you and show you where the 4 jacking points are under the sides of the car. They are basically under the rocker panels near each wheel. If you bend down and take a look, you'll see a 4"-5" re-inforced metal strip in those places. That's where you would rest the car on the stands. Use the front and rear jacking points to get the car up to that height (the owner's manual will tell you where those are, too.)
I'm not a great fan of putting a stored car up on jack stands but some people are so you must decide what you want to do. I feel that this "unloads" the suspension and puts the car in an "unnatural" condition. The springs were meant to be compressed and support the weight of the car. If you're worried about the tires flat spotting, then drive them onto 4 pieces of thick carpet and pump the tires up to 40-50#s.

Xviper said it all....
I always pump up the tires and leave the car on a plastic tap on the garage floor. I also tape the top of the tires with duct tape, and then about once a month I roll the car forward or jack it up and turn the wheels a 1/4 turn. I live in fear that something might happen in the garage and I need to get the car out of there fast, if it is jacked up, that is not going to happen. I guess this is what happens when you live through a house fire.

FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!
My "official" postition on this is...........
If your house is on fire, please don't hang around and try to remove your valuables (like your cars).
My "unofficial" position on this is............
I ain't letting my baby burn!

I'm afraid I might have to jack it up this year
I am running R compounds and since it is a two door garage, it will be opened and cold are will come in. I don't want the compound to be exposed to below 0 temperatures
In fact, it even says this in the insructions that the tires "might" crack if exposed to freezing temperatures.
Suggestions?
