Default Wiper on Intermittent Setting Getting Stuck

Recently my wipers on the Intermittent setting will get stuck halfway and eventually do a swipe, it will do this on every swipe. It will get stuck halfway then slowly complete its swipe. On the low and high settings it will work fine. Can it be the Intermittent Wiper Relay that is faulty? I took the existing one out to check on it and I notice alot of some sort of yellow/tan grease inside the connections. I cleaned it out and connected it back in but still same thing.
Thanks guys.

I've seen this happen before on other cars (not the s2000) and the wiper relay is usually the issue. Wouldn't hurt much to replace it. I believe they are pretty cheap. Usually between $15-$30. Its also possible you have a short somewhere in the washer/wiper circuit...

I got the new relay in from Honda but it still has the issue.
My next guess is can it be the wiper motor?
I recorded a video of the issue.

Good reference video. That is really weird. I wouldn't imagine the motor being bad though as it seems to operate perfectly fine during certain parts of the motion. Is it making a lot of noise? Typically motors will when going bad from what I understand, or they simply start moving a lot slower. It looks like some kind of electrical short to me, but I could be wrong...

Hmm... Well I'm sorry I'm not more help. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to help with much electrical diagnostic over the internet... Maybe someone with more experience with this could chime in for extra help???

I never saw wiper blades come up. Like if they're dragging, too much resistance, etc.

I could see where at higher speeds, and non intermittent, momentum could allow blades to complete their path, but at slower or intermittent, things could be gummed up enough, rubber to glass, excessive resistance, slowing its sweep.

I think it would be interesting test to see what happens if wipers in lifted position. Up off the glass swiping the air.

Does issue still happen?
