Won't start...
I apologize up front if this has been asked already.
I have an 06' that will not start. When the key is turned to the on position the dash lights flicker, and the radio will not come on. Battery is only 8 months old. Checked, cleaned and tightened the terminals as well as checked the ground connection on the firewall. Also connected jumper cables to another running car. Still will not start. Lights stopped flickering but made no difference. Car will not even crank.
After taking the cables off and sitting in the car stumped, the lights stopped flickering and the radio came on, but the car still will not crank. Then suddenly the lights will go back to flickering again and the radio goes off. Before removing the batter to charge it in the garage overnight I decided to push start the car. Car turned right over without issue. Left the car running for over 20 minutes with lights and radio on. Car ran perfectly with no dimming. Turned the car off and attempted to restart, same issue, car will not crank and dash lights flickering.
So after basically eliminating the alternator and battery from the list, I am completely stumped as to what would cause the cars dash lights to flicker, radio to stay off and cause the car not to crank. When I attempt to start it I hear clicking and that strange electric current noise under the dash. Checked the ignition fuse, perfectly fine.
I'm praying someone else has had this problem before, and can give me some direction to look in so I can avoid a trip to the stealership. Any help would be much appreciated!
