Default Would This Rear Wing Offer Any Stability

I know rear wings are supposed to offer more stability by creating a downward force, but I was wondering if my new rear spoiler would offer me such a benefit (since it doesn't sit high). If not, do we go at speeds high enough for it to even matter?
This is new wing. From what I can gather, it will be like a combination between the OEM and the BYS.

BYS (from Bulletproof site. See them for any sales questions)

Probably no difference that you would notice. I doubt that even at 120 mph. you would feel a difference. Take a look at the rear wing of a CART Indy car that is set up for a road course and look at your rear spoiler. You can get a rough idea of what the spoiler will do. It looks bitchen though.

Thanks. I've seen the ELDA spoiler like kraz has....OMG, but I didn't know if I'd loose anything going from OEM to this.

It probably won't have a noticable effect, which would be totally overwhelmed by having the top down (as shown in the pictures).

If you want to see what a functional wing looks like one some track dog's car, check out the BAUW (Big Ass Ugly Wing) on Doug Hayashi's web site. This story has some info, S2KI members and typically funny writing.

Go to the chapter 91 story.

Yeah the trip was a piece of cake weather wise, only 2 hours of night rain.

Some New Yorkers tried to keep me awake by swerving into my personal space. Friendly drivers always ready help out

Tenblade, Let us know what they find with the solenoid problem on your car, I was the new formula red guy in front or you that helped push. My bet is a bad power feed wire to the solonoid, internal corosion or bad connection. Hope you get it sorted out. Had a blast this weekend. It was a pleasure driving with you, looking forward to the next big event.

Remember that a lot of downforce at the rear of the car will tend to raise the front of the car - unless you also create downforce there, the car could possibly get light up front. I doubt that at the speeds we drive 99.9% of the time that the effect is significant, but it also does gobble up some power to convert the horizontal air stream to a vertical. Plus, downforce is mostly a benefit when cars (like F1 or Indy) are also very light.
