Hello everyone,

Just wanted to post an update on the XERD turbo kit about to be released.

We have been working on the car for the last few weeks and hope to release the kit by the end of the December. We dont have any dyno numbers just yet because we are only in the final stages of the prototype kit.

in the next few weeks (more like middle to end of the month) we will release the pictures of the turbo kit which will follow dyno results as well.

Thank you for everyone who has showed interest in this project and hope you like our work.

If anyone wants to see pictures of one of the S2000 we are making the kit on, you can go to http://community.webshots.com/user/xerd

More details on the kit will be released as soon as we finish it. Expect retail price to be under $4,000.00, that price will include the turbo, intercooler, turbo manifold, all piping, downpipe, bov and all necessary hardware.

Later this month we will also release headers and a cat back exhaust system for NA and for FI applications.

Thanx. Art

Ummm... the pictures in your photo gallery are of a completely stock S2000. Do you have any pictures of the work in progress on the turbo? What kind of turbo is it (brand/size/ball bearing/etc)? What are your plans for engine management? How much boost are you planning?

Also, no offense, but who are you? I've never heard of XERD before. Can you tell us a little about yourself/your company/etc?

Rev,

He posted here a couple of months back to guage interest in a new turbo kit. He received the usual range of posts all the way from "Way to go!" to "Take ahike, we're tired of hearing empty promises!". If he's including intercooler and such with quality parts for $4k, he'll more than likely have a winner on his hands. I just sit back and wait until the dust settles.

Here is the original post Rev.....

5 psi, all the plumbing and intercooler for less than $4k... The kit will support more boost but it will be up to the owner to get there. It will be a bolt-on kit that can be daily driven....and they are trying to get CARB certification....YAHHH!!!!!!

I have my concerns about how durable this motor is with any boost, but what XERD is promissing does sound nice. It'll be interesting to see how (or if) it turns out.

I would be definetly interested in a turbo kit that passes smog. That was the only thing from stopping me from getting one was not being street legal.

Anyways, Xerd please post pictures of the project. The existing links are only pics of a stock s2k.

wamus, I'm with you. I would love a kit, but without CARB certification, it's just a no go while I live in a state that smog checks.

Your two front teeth?

I'll be happy just to get my programmable computer installed. I'm doing a custom turbo, so anything I can learn from commercial kits is going to help me...
