Default Yellow jacket question

I just recently received a yellow box that was used from someone on s2ki. I verified that it worked on his car before switching his yellow box and gears into my car. I just wired my yllow jacket in, and the led light refuses to come on. The yellow wire is spliced into the yellow/blue wire, the blue and white wires are attached to their appropriate spot on the blue/white wire, and the black wire is grounded. I triple checked the wiring with the directions on modifry's website, and everything is perfect. I was told that the AP1 can be picky with where you cut the wires, so i tried a few different places, and the LED light still wont come on. I'm curious as to what could cause this?

I searched, and nothing to this affect came up.

Thanks.

Can you confirm you have voltage on the wires going into the Yellow Jacket?
(Modifry makes the YJ, not the boxy thingy... )
Where did you ground it?
Is that ground 100%?

Yes, i checked, it is ~5V, right where it's supposed to be.

I grounded it using the lower bolt for the hood latch like the install guide suggested.

My fault for the mistake, i'll correct it to yellow jacket.

The YJ does not like 12 Volts, not even for a very, VERY! short time.

I also heard that the yellowbox can do bad things if not installed correctly. Like short out the whole electrical system. Anywho, wish I could help but I had mine installed when I had my 4.77's put in.
