I went on a trip to Lake George, NY this past weekend. While up there, I had to unclog my driver's side windshield squirter. So while I had the hood up, I noticed this:
That's where my heat shield used to be. The bracket just snapped right at the block. Luckily, the shield never made it out of the engine compartment.
Any ideas as to what would cause this? I spent about 12 1/2 hours getting up there, so the only thing I could figure was excessive heat. Unless the bracket was flawed from the get go. I'm baffled.
yea thats crap....i would def try to send it back... but def not due to heat unless your motor over heated... the temps inthe engine bay stay the same from 1 hour to 12 hours
Well, after getting a PM from Ztec, I'm sending this puppy in so he can investigate it and possibly replace it for me. That's what I call customer service.
