I thought some of you owners/lovers might be interested in this new release. Auto Art makes great models. I see one is available in red, silver, or black.

Is there really that much difference? Sometimes you have to compromise with models when it comes to years.

 

Gene, FWIW, I've been looking for a generation 1 Spitfire model (or at least a very early one) for almost 50 years in 1/24th or 1/18 scale.

 

The major difference is the headlights. Up until 2002 they were pop-up, and were changed in 2002 to the "bug-eye" look.

 

The airplane or the car???

I already own it. Jerry gave it to me in October or November after having been on a waiting list for it to become available.

 

The car. My first. Paid cash from savings in 1963 just a couple months after it's intro.

 

As Patty mentioned, I bought her the red/black AutoArt NSX, and it's an amazing model. AutoArt does some of the best diecast models for the price of any manufacturer. However, it's the Japan version (right-hand drive). I wanted her to have it because her dad owned a red/black NA1.

I also bought Patty a Long Beach Blue NA2 NSX like her real car that we found at a local Honda dealership when I had my S2000 in for service. The quality is nothing like the AutoArt model, but it's pretty good, and the same 1:18 scale. Gene, you might check around Honda/Acura dealers.

It seems that models of the NA2 NSX, and AP2 S2000 are practically non-existent. Perhaps you should consider buying the black AutoArt NA1 NSX. It's probably the closest you'll be able to come to having a high quality NSX model similar to your real car.
