Has anyone seen this latest article proclaiming the end of the S2000 from the infamous "inside sources"?

Yeah, rumors are more substantial this time around. Supposedly Honda also killed off the NSX replacement (again). Only time will really tell, though.

It's toast. It can't have been very profitable, and frivolous toys are going to get harder and harder to sell.

Look at the number of them that sit on dealer lots for months...

Crap! I want a new model. After putting 58,000 miles on my '01 and now over 76,000 on my '05, I really would like a new S to play with. Still love my Suzuka baby, of course, but I can't see getting an '09.

Why not? Were you hoping for a new design?

If the economy were better and we felt financially secure, we'd think about upgrading, and we only have 46K on ours.

I don't see it happening though.

Guess we'll end up in a Miata some day.

If I knew for sure this was the end with nothing new in site I would buy an '09. The hard part would be the colour.

Because it's just not that exicting buying a new car that's about the same as the car you've had for the past 8 years. Why bother?

I would like it to look different and have some changes. I don't think they'd go backwards, even if some think the AP1 is superior to the AP2. I had both and liked the AP2 better.

That's the easy part for me. Laguna or nothing.
