I hate the TV contracts that prevent games being shown in a team's home market. Versus has been advertising since Thursday that they would be carrying the SJ/Anaheim game tonight. I set my DVR, and went to dinner. When I came back I found 3 hours of recording that was labeled as "NHL Hockey", but was actually bull riding.

 

Boy that sucks. I can't imagine that on such a big game, are you sure you didn't record the wrong channel. Move to MI, they show EVERY Wings game - home or away.

 

It was the right channel according to the cable company's channel guide. But a local cable channel had exclusive rights to the broadcast, and wouldn't allow Versus to show the game here.
