Added another one to the stable
Congratulations, Dave! Real Americans need to own a Pick Up Truck!
I like the matching shell. Still, with all of your trouble finding vehicles that a damaged back will tolerate -- it's amazing that you could end up with a Pick Up Truck (that is not a Ridgeline with IRS)!
I can ride all day long in an S, but my spine simply will not tolerate a ride in a pickup. I was recently given a rental Chevy PU to drive while an HD clutch pp was being installed on the S -- Budget had slim pickin's, but I took the PU back after a 1/4 mile turn around the block and traded for the SUV.

Congrats on the vehicle. I learned a long time ago, that I couldn't own a house without a truck. There were just too many thing I needed to carry home from Home Depot that wouldn't fit in a car. We have either had a truck or access to a truck since.
Even at 5300 miles/year, this, I think, qualifies as a "cream-puff," at least in terms of its condition.
I've thought about a full-sized pickup with a shell as a camping vehicle (of course, I'd need a 4x4, and then I'd need big, knobby tires on it and those peeing-kid mud flaps, and then my wife wouldn't speak to me any more...).
Thing is, there's room in the back to put a real mattress and get a good night's sleep. I've pretty much given up on camping because sleeping on the ground just doesn't do it for me any more.
And with the V-8 you can tow a pretty good-sized boat. Having something like that turquoise half-ton would get me out more, I bet. HPH

Thanks all for the nice comments.
Jim, in three days I've driven it 300 miles, half city and half highway. It's actually a really nice ride even over Michigan's really crappy roads. No back problems at all**. I honestly think it might handle Michigan's really crappy roads as good as or dare I say better than the Audi. I have ridden as a passenger in other trucks and they always seemed to bounce the heck out of me. I don't get that effect in this one; I'm not sure why. I must admit I've really enjoyed driving it the past few days. It's loaded down with MG engine parts today that I brouight home to clean while the head/block are at the machine shop.
** consider this. I just bought a TV chair that cost $1700. Everyone told me it was one of the most comfortable chairs anywhere. And, probably it is, for everyone but me!! It put my neck/back out of place. I'm trying to come up with a return solution. It's going to cost me $400+ to return it unless I can find an exchange at the store. The joys of aging.........
