Default The Adventures of paS2K downunder

Kathy and Jerry are in the 2nd week of their trip. Since Tuesday they've driven over the Southern Alps, done some hiking in the mountains, taken a jet boat ride to a White Heron nesting colony, visited two glaciers including a helicopter flight over the Southern Alps, and today drive to Lake Wanaka.

While their own photos will no doubt be posted once they get home in 2 weeks, here's a taste of the sights they're seeing (unabashed New Zealand promotional photos follow):

Jerry & Kathy sure are fortunate to be able to see such sights, I wonder how he liked the right hand drive.

Um... his rental (a 10 year old Nissan) was missing the left side mirror after his first 3 days.

He will have a chance in my yellow car after he has more experience dodging gutters

Little Penguin, thank you for sharing the pictures. What a difference in terrain, from the snowy Alps, to the desert looking land around the Lake Whakatipu. BTW, I like your license plate. Is that for real?
