Default Antique Singer Sewing Machine

Singer Sewing Machine from 1925. Serial Number AA193183 , Decal design is Tiffany. It was converted to electric (or came that way- the electrical connection attachment says Singer on it also) so no treadle base, just a basic little table that the machine tucks into. Doing a quick little search, the model 127/128 had an option for electric.

Free for the taking. Just holler. I can't imagine it's worth shipping. It was my grandmothers and its been in my garage for 15 years now. There's no sentimental value to it, but maybe I can find someone who'll take care of it rather than just putting it on the curb.

So, if someone collects antiques and needs a sewing machine, or someone collects sewing machines and doesn't have one of these models, or if someone has an empty spot in a room and wants to fill it, or if you collect objects that are black with gold writing on them, then this is for you.

Price is right - just pick it up.

Not that I sew very well at all, but I learned to sew on one of those. The little cast iron foot thing on the bottom to propel the needle. It was cool and when Mom graduated to an electric sewing machine we weren't all that happy with it.

I hope you find a home for it.

What about Craig's list? Unless of course you don't want to invite strangers into your home. Strangers aren't like S2000 people they could be weird................well now that I think of it..............

There's a bunch online, and without the treadle base, they really have minimal value. So its not about collecting a $20 bill for it. Maybe not having a random person at my house is somewhat of a concern.

If I leave it out on Wednesday (garbage is Thursday) it won't make it through the night. Just figuring if there was someone here or anywhere else I frequent, it's worth a shot.

I'm doing fine, buddy. Very nice of you to offer it. I'm trying to reduce inventory myself. Like you said, put it out the night before trash day and it will be gone before the trash men get there.

Hope it finds a home. I've been trying to reduce the amount of stuff we have for quite some time. Went into the attic to do some maintenance and was surprised to see a lot of stuff lurking there that I thought we'd gotten rid of. Guess I found +1's stash. hoarder I said in my quiet little voice

We are getting ready to move, so I'm slowly liquidating stashes of hoarded stuff I thought I needed to hang on to. The recycling and garbage pickup guys just shake their heads when they see my piles of junk on the curb.

I thought Jim was liquidating his stash(es) too. While I was blissfully tossing out tons of my stuff, he was secretly storing his in the attic. I am saying nothing at this point and leaving it be. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

I lost my office lease and have to move soon. Have been throwing out reference books right and left, plus electronic equipment not worth a nickle I hung on to. Still more tossing to do, then packing boxes, boxes and more boxes.
