I didn't think a Slinky was reliable enough to go down the stairs. I could never get one to work.

:D I'd shoot Jim if he built something like that in our house. :) I'd have to clean up all the mess. However, he's more likely to build a mini-reactor in our backyard or perhaps even some kind of nuclear powered rocket.

I often wondered what happened to retired engineers. I've heard they return to normal.
