I think a few people here have said he posts on Facebook occasionally.

He hasn't posted here in perhaps 5 years. After he retired he found other places to spend his time.

I believe the last time he posted in Vintage was May of 2020. Gene seems to know more details of exactly why he quit posting, but I think it had partially to do with a seemingly political post of his being deleted (by Jim) when he felt a post of mine (and maybe others) was political and should have been deleted, also. For the record, I do have access to Politics and post my political opinions there. LB does not, by choice. I am pretty sure he has not retired, at least not completely. But I do not know anything for certain. I am sorry he stopped posting in Vintage. I consider(ed) him a friend.

His reasons for leaving Vintage were personal. I have seen him lurking here occasionally. I haven't seen him post on Facebook lately, though. Just checked, and he no longer shows up on my "Friends" list, so that could be why I've seen no posts from him.

I hope he is doing well.

I've texted back and forth with Bill a few times. I got polite but short responses.

Too bad that he is gone. I liked his take on various topics.

I miss his posts and always considered him a friend. I've been in sports car clubs of one sort or another for 46 years. People come and go, and some even return later on but most do not. In my early days as a club chairman I used to try to follow up on people who didn't renew and soon found out that was wasted effort. If they wanted to renew, they would have - simple as that!
