Default Anyone running in this year's Army Ten Miler?

Anyone in Vintage running in this year's Army Ten Miler? Now that I have left the D.C. area, I am thinking of running this year. Here is the website for the Army Ten Miler if you are interested. http://www.armytenmiler.com/

The +1 may very well run it...since he's planning to sign up for (this week!) and run the Marine Corps Marathon. The Army 10-Miler is a prep race for many who run the marathon. He's also thinking of running a half marathon in Virginia Beach in September as part of his workup.

^The course is really picturesque, I think. Unless you run the course, how would you be able to take in all the nice scenery? You can see the Lincoln Memorial, Tidal Basin area, and Smithsonian museum as you are running by them. I think I am going to sign up this week.

The +1 has run the Shamrock marathon in Virginia Beach twice, too. He's been running a route from the condo to the Jefferson Memorial and back, but is getting ready to go for longer runs soon. That route is about six miles.

I've been torn between my swimming and running. I've been swimming everyday at least a 1.5 mile and I am not sure if I can devote my time to run middle distance. But I am going to have to carve out time to run for the ATM. I suppose I can run on weekends as I get a break from my swimming. I got out of pool after 1.5 mile today as there were other people waiting to swim. Can't hog the lane too much.

Swimming is very good exercise, too. As well as rowing. We will be swimming laps as soon as the pool opens. But I'm not in training to run a marathon. I used to run 5Ks and ran one 10K, but that's it.
