Default Aquapel

I had my cars detailed in the beginning of the summer and when my detailers finished the TL he said he had applied Aquapel to the windshield. He told me it was like Rain-X but lasted a lot longer.

All I can say is that after 4 months it's still really working. (I washed the car today and it beaded as if it was just applied).

For all of the Rain-X folks out there, you might like this. I do have to warn you that it is a bit pricey.

I'll have to try it. I love my Rain-X but I know others who hate it!

Aquapel has an excellent reputation, although I've never tried it myself.

Costco around here has Aquapel for something like $15-20 for a 4-pack. I'll probably give it a try when I use up my supply of Rain-X. But I've used Rain-X for about 30 years and never had any complaints.

the ony issue with rainX is it's habit forming.
when it starts to wear off you either have to get another fix and re-apply or go cold turkey and wash it off entirely.

It is good stuff when it's working right.

I work for Ziebart in INDY, and we use this product on a DAILY basis!!! It is no joke and I never try to promote anything online, but since the topice was started...hey - why not?

We call it Rain-X on steroids! Any time you buy one of our packages it's included and people ask for it every year they come back...It's no joke!!!

First I've heard of it. Does anyone have experience using it when Invisible Glass is used regularly as the windshield cleaner?

I use (generally) generic no-ammonia cleaner and it works fine with it.

I'm not one to push stuff, but when I washed the RDX yesterday, the windshield beaded water batter than the paint. I put the Aquapel on when I had the truck detailed a few months back and I use Optimum wax as a "refresher" about every six weeks. The stuff is crazy.

^Yeah, but we do get dew. That makes a mess on my RAV4 parked outside.
