Nice pics, Val!! I hadn't seen the one of Granny, me and Joe at Fall Colors. That must have been when he was telling the story about how Granny left the spacers in her car and they removed them.
Valentine, do you know I got an 8 by 10 of that photo you took of me and Andy? I also put a smaller one in the annual 16 by 20 photo collection I gave Andy for Christmas. Thanks for taking it.
One of the other recent threads talked at some length about how to present a more welcoming face to newcomers, and that thread included some discussion of how there's a cliquish tendency that comes and goes.
I don't want to dampen the good feelings expressed here, and I'm happy to add my own (presumably, everyone is over their hangovers by now, except for those of you who may be doing jello shots with the Rose Bowl game scoring, and won't mind a little shouting): HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I'd also like to add a suggestion. When posting photos from past meets, it would seem pretty easy to insert between each the names of the people in them. That, I think, would go a long way toward effectively introducing people around. I'm not trying to poke sticks at anyone here; it's just that I've seen lots of pictures in various threads of people that I can't identify. I'm sure that there are some other people around here who can't identify them, either. HPH
You're correct. When I post photos I try to always put names with them. Not only for other but because I often forget who they are after a meet when I've just met them for the first time.
