We would all like to be notified before our membership lapses, so we can renew our membership without a temporary loss of privileges. It is a shock to suddenly discover that we are guests instead of members.

I checked with our intrepid leader, Erik <cthree>, and he assures us that he is working very hard on a replacement for the notification software that didn't work -- among other things it spammed people. In a couple more months he will have a replacement system that will completely take the place of the current one.

 

He needs to hire new software developers if it takes thousands of hours to write code to scan the database, compare current date to membership date and launch an email.

 

Avoid any email problems by just having a popup on your screen when you log into, or bring up, S2K.com. The site recognizes me, why not can't it just put a flash up that says time to renew? Keep email addresses out of it.

 

Maybe you should volunteer (at a price) your company's services?

 

You guys know what you are talking about. It's not my area of expertise.

 

Where I go a sign flashes up........... You must be 18 or older to enter.

 

I guess it won't be ready for me. Mine expires in about 2 weeks....
