Another sign of Spring!! Just got tix to four Nats games. Went on sale today. Not that I think they will be any good. The +1 and I just like going to the games. The stadium is really nice. What are y'all up to this season?

Also college ball is underway. I just saw a weekend of great baseball at the 2009 Houston College Classic at the Astro's stadium downtown, with UCLA, Cal Irvine, Baylor, Texas A&M, U Houston, and Rice. Saw some great pitching. Lots of scouts watching from behind the plate.

The Nats GM, Bowden, just got fired for the fiasco with the Dominican player he recruited, who lied about his name and age. Apparently, there are some shady methods used to recruit players there. Always something here in DC...

Unfortunately, I think it will be very difficult for me to get tix to the Yankees this year.

On Sunday we passed the old and new Yankee Stadiums on the highway. The new one looks great. But then again, the 'old' one wasn't too bad either.

I know...the teams are gouging everyone right and left. There are no individual tickets available for the Red Sox series here, even though single game tix went on sale this morning. They are making people buy season tix in order to have access to those.

The Phillies did raise prices on most seat by $2, and on the better seats, the price is up $10, but there are singles available for most games (even the Mets).
I think that the small rise in pricing isn't bad for being Champs. I'm not a real big baseball guy, but it's hard not to jump on the bandwagon when they've just come off of a World Series win.

This is the baseball thread so I will post it here, some of you may have heard about the player that was traded for 10 bats.

The unhappy ending is here http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/9287578...HPHCP&GT1=39002
