We are visiting a friend in New Hampshire. We are taking a tour of Fenway Park today.and are really looking forward to it. We are O's fans but like the Red Sox. Taking lots of pics to send to my Yankee fan buddies.

Youngest grandson's All-Star game tournament started tonight; thankfully they lost 12-0. I really do not enjoy this slow game, even when family is playing. They go to the loser-bowl tomorrow but we will be out of town. His older brother's All-Star game playoff starts Monday night at a field 50 miles away. I can hardly wait ( ).

Decided on the spur of the moment yesterday to go to today's Nats game against the Pirates. It was a hot day. We left at the end of the 8th and the Nats tied it at 1-1 at the bottom of the 9th. The +1 was mad we left. Well, we got home and have watched a few innings here. It's now the bottom of the 15th!! Still 1-1.

Wow, 18 innings and the Nats lost. 2 ball games in 1.

Yeah, I was exhausted just watching it. They definitely will use today off to rest.

Time to bring this to the top.

The American League East is where almost ALL the action is as we close out the season. Right now, three of the post season teams are in the division. I know the Lions have a shot at a wild card, but they are two games back for the second wild card spot at the moment. Sitting precariously in first place, The Red Sox are a flawed team that are both exciting and fun to watch. This past weekend they entertained me to no end with a four game sweep of the Nu Yowk Yahnkies. Three of the four games were come-from-behind wins. The Yankees chances of making the post season are mighty slim right now.

Tonight, our most beloved Red Sox begin a four game stand against the second place Orioles who would be the first wild card team if the season ended today. This series has major implications for the post season. I love close races like this, don't you? Now is the time to start watching the Red Sox so you can root for them in the post-season.

I don't mind a little more boring race. Although the Nats lost two to the Braves which irritated me.
