Default Bay of Fundy - Canada

Our vacation time is limited these days, but it's time for a break. We had been thinking of taking two mini get a way weekends. We thought about heading to Quebec in August and Cape May in September, but decided that a full week, with fewer traffic hassles, less hustle and bustle and enjoying the scenery and drive in the S would be better R&R.

We have decided to try for a week in the Bay of Fundy area in Canada in August. Once again we'll be away for our anniversary and my birthday which I enjoy. I know a few of you folks have been that way, so I would like your thoughts on places to stay, attractions, scenery, good roads, etc. We will be taking the S.

We will want to check out Hopewell Rocks, but we won't travel any further than that area. I know Gene has been there. In another thread, zippy Dave has recommended St. Andrews by the sea, who would like to toss in their .02?

PS When recommending hotels, we don't care for bed and breakfasts and as far as price range, think Best Western/Hampton Inn. Motel 6 can leave the light on for other folks, not us.

Lainey, make sure to check out the reversing falls in St. John. Its not a long stop but an interesting site to see.

What week are you going up? Rose and I will be traveling that way a few times this summer to visit friends we the area and if timing is right we could meet and show you a few sights also stop into Churchill's pub in St. john and be sure to check out the city market just up the street from there for some unique shopping.

I know you mentioned you like the Hampton etc for lodging give this place a view its is wonderful and I am sure you guys would enjoy it the food is divine.

All set with passports, thanks. I just use Hampton Inn as an example. Looking for similar amenities and price range, though clean local motels are fine too.

I will. I'd not mind a trip south and originally we thought we'd head to SC, but the ride, well it just ain't fun.
