Default Bravo Ford!

They didn't take any bail-outs, they didn't go bankrupt. Instead they borrowed private money, used it to developed product that customers wanted, and sold their way out of their problems. They just posted their most profitable quarter EVER. Well done ladies and gentlemen, well done. My biggest regret is that I didn't buy 50,000 shares when Ford stock was selling for $2.00 a share....sigh.

I actually thought it long and hard, but in the end i just couldn't do it. Things were falling apart left and right. If only my crystal ball was working.

Bill, I too thought about it as all the signs indicated if any US auto company was going to make it, it would be Ford. Isn't 20-20 hindsight great.

It sucks Dave, because you remember well that you wanted to do it, but couldn't bring yourself to pull the trigger. My only joy now is in celebrating the recovery of a great American company. And in the end, that's not too shabby.

Ford has just introduced four new engines, two V-6 and two V-8, with the F-150 truck. By all accounts the new V-6's are outstanding. The EcoBoost V-6, Ford’s name for turbocharging with direct fuel injection, delivers impressive power with excellent fuel economy and the basic V-6 is equally impressive.

Good for Ford. Their CEO runs a company the right way. Good business strategy resulting in world class products. I would definitely consider a Ford next time we are in the market for a full size car.

Yeah, they deserve big-time credit. The Fusion is competitive in what is probably the most important market segment; the Mustang is, well, the Mustang and will always sell well in its niche. They're bringing over the Fiesta, which sounds like it will be quite competitive in its niche.

Yet the assholes in Congress criticized Mullaley for not taking public transportation to the hearings...

I've bought and sold Ford stock all along the run up from $5. My first car in 1969 was a 1967 Mustang and I continue to believe those cars to be best of the breed. Yes Ford is good, but it's also that GM and Chrysler are so bad. I'd love to add the new Boss 302 to my stable.
