Cali Fires

We flew Saturday from Seattle to Sacramento and you could smell the smoke inside the aircraft! From the Oregon/California border down there was no seeing the ground.

Gene, I just got home from Estes Park (to my Loveland house) and Ricky asked me about the fire near the Trabuco Canyon house because he sees the smoke. First I heard of it. From what I see online it's south of my house there and burning towards the east. Hmm. If that house did burn I guess I wouldn't have to sell it. Would I have to rebuild it? Could I just take the insurance money?
One of my geologists lost his house in Ventura to the Thomas Fire. They lost everything. They were going to rebuild, but the city made it such a hassle with investigations and permits that they decided to buy a house in Camarillo and sell their lot in Ventura. With the insurance settlement and the proceeds from the lot sale, they were able to buy the Camarillo house and still make money.

Today was the first day we saw very very visible haze down in the South SF Bay Area. It's not apocalyptic, but it is hazy, discolored, and my eyes are puffy and red.

I’m not sure what source of the smoke is, but the La Plata Mountains near Durango are obscured by smoke, and visibility in the area is impaired. The smoke is coming from the west. California?

This was posted on Facebook a minute ago. I won't mean much to anyone here but I find it interesting. My house is in Portola Hills which is safe and is pretty much due west of the starting point. You never can tell where fires will go, though.

Ricky is there with Talia and Zion, keeping things under control. I hate going there and cop an attitude days before. Ricky doesn't mind the construction like I do. He told me it's worse and they've been working on the highest hill behind my house. It's so ugly.

^7-22-2018. I do miss Ricky, Talia, Zion, my green potted plants and patio. I don't miss the house, neighborhood and over population.

^7-20-2018. I love this picture of Ricky!
Today marks exactly one year from the first time I saw my Loveland house. How about that.
^8-10-2018. I flew into Denver to see this house. Closed escrow on it 8-31-2018.

There are a few fires that may be smoking out Reno. I wasn't aware until I looked at the map. InciWeb the Incident Info
If you zoom in on the map you'll see what I mean. There are a few fires that could be affecting Reno's air quality. Smoke travels a long way.
