Default Changing of the clocks....

We change the clocks this weekend. As much as I don't like the darkness at 5:00 PM, I might feel a bit better that it is not quite so dark when I get up. I feel like I'm dragging myself around until I see daylight.

From this point on, I just count the days until December 22nd when the days start to get longer again.

This time of year, I don't have much energy or motivation to do much of anything. The treadmill is calling out to me, but I've ignored it so far. What about you? Do you turn into a couch potato when there is so little daylight, or does it not make a difference to you?

I don't like getting to work and leaving work when it's dark. Don't understand this whole time changing business and why we still need to do it

I don't like the shorter days much either.

I remember my Dad often saying how he disliked the weekend when we turned back the clocks. I feel as he did. I guess it doesn't matter, you still only get X number of hours of daylight, but until I get more daylight, I'd prefer to hibernate with the bears.

With my schedule its get there in the dark and leave in the dark. So I am ready. I do a major happy dance on 12/22 when the days start getting longer.

Also bought my 9 volt batteries to do the annual change in the smoke detectors

I don't mind it too much. I do have to realize though that it gets dark much faster once the sun sets. In the summer I have lots of twilight to wash a car in but now, I can start in the light and it'll be quite dark when I finish.

I STILL say that we should just keep Daylight Savings Time year round and call it Standard Time.

I'd rather have it darker in the am and not so early in the evening. In Dec. when it is dark here just past 4 pm I have a hard time staying awake much past 8pm. I don't have that problem in the summer when it is light till after 9pm.
