Default Chasing Lainey

I always like Lainey's pics and I need to expand my photographic potential. Today I ordered a 150mm by 600mm telephoto lens. Can't wait to play with it.

What's your camera? I have Sony stuff. 100mm-400mm lens. Good luck with your new acquisition!

I have a couple Nikons, a D4500 and a Sony. My new one is a Nikon Z7 II. It's a full frame mirrorless. We use them for ad shots in magazines. My old telephoto lens is very slow on it as it doesn't have the electronic compatibility with the new camera.

Enjoy it! Did you get the Sigma or something else? I see people out and about with those 150-600 lenses. They look like a cannon. Almost bigger than I am!

Will be watching for your pics! My lens is 100-400 used on a crop sensor body, which actually gives me more "reach" almost equivalent to the 600. And don't ask me to explain it.
Here's one more from the rookery last week. Shot at 400 MM and then with a little cropping/editing. I've thought of adding an extender, but my lens is a first version, and I'd lose a few options, so cropping it is.

Those are great photos. You need a good camera and lens to capture photos like this.

I did too. I ended up with the Nikon 200-500. Never know what tomorrow brings and there's always worry that a new body stops talking to an aftermarket lens.

They don't make a 200-500 for the z7 yet but I'm on their mailing list for when come out with it. That would have probably been my first choice.
