Default Check your spare.

I bet everyone here checks their tire pressure regularly, but I bet almost nobody remembers to check their spare. Nobody ever thinks about their spare tire until it's needed, but by that time it's too late.

I'd also be willing to bet that most everyone's spare needs air.

This past weekend we checked the spare in all four of our cars. Not one was properly inflated and two of them were remarkably low.

This weekend, right after you check your oil and your tire pressure, check your spare.

I'm sure mine is low, but that's why I have AAA. Also, in the NSX, the spare is not inflated, but there is an air pump in the tool kit to pump it up.

This reminds me to check my can of fix a flat for an expiration date.

No spare in my S that was removed 8 years ago.

I don't have a spare in my Rav4.
It has run flat tires.
I'm thinking about trying to find one of those small size spares to throw in the back. I feel naked without a spare.

In , I think most of us keep our spare tires around our waist lines. And keeping them inflated is no problem (j/k).

My spare hangs on the back of my Jeep so it is easy to check. The Lexus has a real spare and gets checked reguarly. Plus AAA and fix a flat should cover the bases. Good thought on the donut spare.

Thanks for the reminder. With the spare tire sitting on a shelf in the back garage, its easy to forget to check it!

Seriously, it is a good point. Most people don't think about it. I have come across spare tires that would be useless if needed, because they were so low on pressure.
