Default The Civic R Concept

Is Honda trying to get its mojo back? What do you think of this? Might be a little too boy-racer for me, but the rear spoiler certainly does work with the rest of the car.

I have mixed feelings. I like the car but I don't like the spoiler. But then, I generally don't like spoilers.

I heard a rumor that it might come to America eventually.

Certainly cooler than the one I just bought:

I agree with LB, the Civic R is a little boy racer for me. Although, I'd giggle like a boy racer any time I drove it!

I agree with what everyone has said... this is quite the leap forward in the right direction..... having said that, it's going to need to dial down the aero trim for me to be driving that.

They say that it's all functional (hell, I drive a CR), so I get it, but, it's a bit much for me..

(but boy it sounds like it would be a helluva lot of fun to drive)

I very seldom like any Japanese styled cars....... but this one at first look works for me. I'm not sure it needs a spoiler as much as a Bugatti might but it sure beats their 'no soul' cars of recent.

According to the article, it is based on the Civic sold in the rest of the World and we have a totally different car in America (bigger).

If anything like this is sold in the USA, it will have to be called something else.

It looks good from the front, but the back is overdone. Hard to believe it would have 280HP.

Like other respondents, I don't like the spoiler or the rear view in general. It looks almost like two different design teams did the front and rear. Anyway, it is just a concept, and the production version will likely be toned down. The US market will probably only see a body kit. I'm not really interested in another Honda until something as radical as the S2K appears.
